Why Lost Coins?
As a Christian based organisation, Lost Coins seeks to help anyone who is homeless or vulnerable – in doing so reflect the love of God not just to other Christians, who already know it, but to non-Christians alike.
We are reminded of Luke 15: 8-10 – the Parable of the Lost Coins. Through the witness and care for ALL those in need, Christ like Christians illuminate the darkest days, and others are drawn to that.
Lost Coins seek to encourage and enable Christians in Australia and around the world to reflect that light. Who should people in a shroud of darkness turn to, if not those who know their eternal home?
We see people of all races, religions, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and identities who have been displaced from their homes or suffered trauma in their lives. How would you feel if it was you? Who would you turn to?
Lost Coins are all about unity, reconciliation and community. This doesn’t mean watering down what we believe – it means living it.
As an NGO, we seek to cover all the operating costs internally (we are volunteer workers and cover all operational costs) meaning your donations go directly to the projects you chose.
